~Robin Yukiko~
Bio

Robin Yukiko was born in Los Angeles to a jazz musician and choir director for a father and a co-directing mother. Three years later, they moved to Orlando, FL, where Robin went to a private school geared toward the learning-disabled due to supposed ADHD and a tendency to elbow the person next to her.

After attempting to behave herself, she attended Dr. Phillips High School and enrolled in the Performing Arts Magnet Program. At 14, she became the youngest vocalist featured in an octet in the Florida Youth Choral at Carnegie Hall. Three times during high school she won as First Place State Winner in Vocal Solo Art Song and Vocal Solo Musical Theater categories for the National Federation of Music Clubs.

After one year as an opera major at the University of Miami, Robin left school to produce her debut album Me & My Apathy, an eclectic suite of 11 original songs.

She moved to Boston and graduated from Berklee College of Music with a Professional Music Degree (Cum Laude, 2006). Shortly after, Robin spent 2.5 years living, teaching, and playing in Japan, including performing the Star Spangled Banner on national television.

In 2009, Robin moved to San Francisco and is currently recording her second album "Love War", which features renowned drummer Will Kennedy.

Robin runs the San Francisco Singer-Songwriter Workshop and teaches privately in voice, songwriting, and music theory.
